Turlock, CA New Life Church, June 1, 2013

Saturday evening, we went with my friend and her husband to the New Life Church. She was an usher for this service, and we certainly felt welcomed. It was the first time I've seen the children checked in with a wrist band (with their name and the parents names), while the parents were given a beeper that flashed (like in restaurants) if the children needed them.
I loved the premise of the sermon. The series took the meaning of children's Bible songs and made them work for adults. The sermon we heard was, "This little light of mine, I'm going to make it shine". Very encouraging and motivational.
