I have fond memories of this Episcopal Church in Modesto. There seems to be the same elderly gentleman who assists the priest, no matter what part of the country I go. They had a visiting priest and he was gently led through the local traditions. Afterwards, a couple stayed and shared with me about the situation they faced after the Anglican split in California.

Top of the cross. There is beautiful blue glass behind the metal line. |

Bottom of cross. |
Yes! This is St. John |
This is the inside of the domed ceiling. The 4 little dots in the center are the lights but in real life, it's just light. |
I just love these kneelers. |
They are so bright! |
Small connection to the larger. |

Chapel stained glass. |
The Chapel is to the left of the altar. They had a discussion group here after the service. |
Looking out. The photos trick the eye. You really don't see the ceiling this close. It's really very spiritual and helped me feel close to God. |
Much to my surprise, a library! |
Another view of the library. How open and for everyone! |
In the Foyer. |
Coffee, snacks, and fellowship. |
