17 Mile Drive and Monterey May 22-23, 2013

Driving the 17 Mile Drive from Carmel to Monterey is beautiful, full of curves, and needs both hands on the wheel. This is when I'd like to have a "car cam" mounted on top of the car. So I don't have many photos of this drive, only the few that were taken the times we stopped. What is important is that I am becoming more comfortable driving these roads, in fact, they are now an exciting challenge rather that stark raving fear. Progress does happen. No photos of Pebble Beach golf course, but we did see it.
The Pacific

Rocky coast.
Some of the cypress trees.
After a drive by the house we lived in while Christopher was born, we ate at the Coast Guard Wharf instead of Cannery Row. Less hassle with parking.
The white fence in front is new to me.
We watched them pull up boats to the dock.

And the seals basking under the wharf.

Looking toward Cannery Row.
Lots of boats in the bay.
The next day I enjoyed the Dennis the Menace Park designed by Hank Ketchum.
